About Tabbies
In 1955, Walter Cunningham, the founder, envisioned a company dedicated to meeting the filing, indexing and labeling supply needs of the industry. That firm, Superior Tabbies, Inc., evolved into today’s Xertrex International Inc.

As a paper converter, Xertrex, and its and BARCO LABELS Divisions, manufacture and distribute products throughout the United States, Canada and Europe. Headquartered in Itasca, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago, the firm maintains a manufacturing plant that utilizes 42,000 square feet of production capacity.

Tabbies is a major manufacturer of quality filing, indexing and labeling products, including color coded filing supplies, indexes, media storage items, laser labels, index tabs, custom index dividers, custom labels, and other “”simple solutions@work.”” has been a pioneer in the development and manufacturing of self-adhesive filing, indexing and labeling products. Through innovation, products have been developed to make filing and indexing tasks easier than ever before. Many of our items are unique in their approach and will save you time and money.

Now in its third generation, the Cunningham family continues to take an active role to ensure that customer requirements are well served and that the company’s reputation as progressive, innovative and growth-oriented is maintained. We use the highest quality papers, inks and adhesives. Almost all of our packaging and products are made from recycled/recyclable paper. The use of soybean oil in our printing process makes us considerate of the environment.

Over the years, administrative assistants, lawyers, medical administrators, record keepers and many other professionals have continued to use supplies for cost savings in the office environment, as well as increasing efficiency in filing and organizational procedures.

Very Useful for Making an Untabbed Bible AccessibleI ordered these for my untabbed Henry Morris KJV bible. Nice bible but no cutouts or way of finding your way through it. So I figured I’d check these out and see if they would be helpful. And they are! Makes going to a particular book a piece of cake now. I would recommend them. Some tips for putting them on however will be helpful. First of all, this is not a task you want to race through. Take your time and expect it to take a little while. It can be a little tedious.Next, be aware that the black line on the tab should line up with the edge of the page. I placed the first tab not realizing that and wasted it since it ended up not being a tab. Duh! Lesson learned.A tab guide is provided but you don’t really need it. First, go to the page you want to tab to. Flip it as though it were tabbed so you can decide which page you are tabbing to. That is, which page you will arrive on when you use the tab.I found that the easiest way to place the tabs is to decide on your page and open the bible to that page. Then carefully separate your tab from the paper holder. Easy does it because you want to remove the whole tab as a few ripped a bit on me at the clear contact points.Once you have your page. Line up the black line with the edge of the page and starting from the top and working your way down in the bible book place your tab on the page. Secure it.Now, carefully turn the page until you have only one page open. Bible pages are thin so make sure you do this and don’t get more than one page together. (The instructions warn about this as well.) If you do mess up (I did twice) use a hair dryer right away to loosen the tab by heating the sealed tab and carefully peeling it up. Once up separate the extra page till you are at only one page.Next, using the un-sticky side take your finger and push the tab upwards so that it bends at the provided slit. Once it is bending correctly keep bringing it over until it seals on the reverse of your selected page. Smooth it down and you have a tabbed page. Now, move to the next book. Get to your desired page. Use the previous tab as a location guide for the next one, moving downward in the book. Then, seal it on the desired page using the black line for an edge of page guideline. Then, turn to the reverse of the page so only one page is selected. Push upward towards the bend. Seal it on the reverse page side. Done! Move to the next book. (The tabs are properly ordered.)Once all the tabs have been placed, I found that the easiest way to get to your desired book is to place the binding in your lap or down and simply let the pages drop towards you using the tab as your marker. No stress on the pages of the book or the tab this way.One minor criticism- John 1-3 is on one tab. Not a big deal. Since 2 and 3 are not long. Just something to be aware of.Another tip: Remove tabs carefully so you remove them intact. All in all, the tabs have made my book imminently more useful and the colors help as well which help to separate the Pentateuch from the prophets etc. A useful product if you apply it carefully and take your time.

The only Bible tabs with a CLEAR adhesive portion that will not block out printI have a very big large-print DAKE’S Bible. The print on the pages is within one-half inch of the page edge. Most usual tabs will block out that print. The Tabbies Rainbow Bible Indexing Tabs are the only tabs I have found to allow print, that is close to the page edge, to be read. The colored portion of the tab rests outside the Bible page and the adhesive part of the tab is clear. These are also great for small-size Bibles. I have them in a pocket Bible I carry in my purse! They are cheerful and easy to read. I have used these on many Bibles and will continue to do so.

Makes Searching EasyI have not tried to remove them so I did not rate that part, but they adhere very well. I only wish they had made them a little bit more goof proof for putting them on, but I know there is only so much that they can do. I have recommended them to others as they make finding books in the Bible much easier.

Misleading packaging! Missing 7 Catholic Bible chapter tabs!Tabs worked fine. Good size font (probably an “11” size font). Easy to install (took about an hour for me — a super perfectionist). Just handle tabs with care and patience and they should not tear. However, packaging is misleading…It states: “Use with ANY Old & New Testament Bible”. NOT ACCURATE!…Missing 7 tabs for a Catholic Bible! (Missing these 7 books: ‘Tobit’; ‘Judith’; ‘1 Maccabees’; ‘2 Maccabees’; ‘Wisdom’; ‘Sirach’; & ‘Baruch’).Instead of returning, I just made my own tabs from ‘Excel’ for the missing 7 tabs, plus 3 extra tabs for: ‘Prayers’; ‘Holy Rosary’; & the ‘Family Records’ sections. For the price they are fine. I like the muted rainbow colors. Just beware if using for a Catholic Bible.*Below: I typed the Bible chapters as abbreviated on tabs. The font on tabs are in capitalized font though. It did have 12 extra tabs for: – ‘Gen. Index’; – ‘Concord’ – ‘Bible, Gen.’ – ‘Topic Ind.’ – ‘Biography’ – ‘Teachings’ – ‘Tables’ – ‘Maps’ – ‘Study’ – ‘Charts’ – ‘Old Test.’ – ‘New Test.’INCLUDED Bible chapter tabs (x64):OLD TESTAMENT: (x39 chapters): Genesis Exodus Leviticus Numbers Deuteron. Joshua Judges Ruth 1 Samuel 2 Samuel 1 Kings 2 Kings 1 Chronic. 2 Chronic. Ezra Nehemiah Esther Job Psalms Proverbs Ecclesiast. Song of Sol. Isaiah Jeremiah Lamentat. Ezekiel Daniel Hosea Joel Amos Obadiah Jonah Micah Nahum Habakkuk Zephaniah Haggai Zechariah MalachiNEW TESTAMENT: (x25 chapters): Matthew Mark Luke John Acts Romans 1 Corinth. 2 Corinth. Galations Ephesians Philippians Colossians 1 Thessal. 2 Thessal. 1 Timothy 2 Timothy Titus Philemon Hebrews James 1 Peter 2 Peter 1-3 John Jude RevelationHope this helps other reviewers.*Note: Picture 1: The 10 tabs I made on ‘Excel’. Picture 2: The tabs with a hot pink color behind them are the tabs I made; those tabs were not included.

Love the spacing guide, they easily fold in half and match upI love that these include a spacing guide, so if you are super picky like me don’t worry about the tabs overlapping or how you’ll be able to place them “perfectly” on your own.I bought “Catholic Bible” tabs but because of how my Bible is laid out with some books grouped I couldn’t label every book. I’m still very happy having the tabs but just be aware that due to possible differences in how your Bible is laid out, you could loose a perfect rainbow order. If it means that much to you research the orders of each beforehand.

Love the Rainbow TabsI love the rainbow tabs. They actually look great but more importantly, they make finding a book in the bible so much easier. The first five books of Moses are pink, Joshua through Esther are Peach, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and Song of Songs are yellow, The Prophets are green, The Gospels are blue, the books of Paul are purple and the study guides in the back are lavender. You can find your section by color and then finding the actual book becomes much faster when you are in bible study or church. I highly recommend these to anyone. As far as positioning them on the page, the instructions are a bit demanding. I ignored them completely, but I used the two sections as an aid. I placed the bible with the spine facing away from me. Located the book I wanted, placed the section of tabs I wasn’t using on the following page making sure it was the very next page and then with the first page I began at the top of the page used the black line to eyeball the edge and when I pressed it in place, bent it over and affixed it to the back of the page. Using the first tab as a section in place I eyeballed the next to be further down the page following the same procedure to ensure I only had one page when I affixed the tab. It went quickly and was pretty easy. Hint, don’t push the tab down too hard until you are sure it is straight and belongs where it landed. You can remove it with care if you don’t press too hard. Good luck.

Quality Product & Easy ApplicationI looked through the options for tabs for my Annotated Jewish Study Bible sold here at Amazon and picked the Rainbow Bible Indexing Tabs. I didn’t care about the rainbow part, and had another NRSV without tabs I am going to use the New Testament tabs for. My main concern was that they were a quality product. They work best for books 9″-11″ I think (look at their information to be sure on that, and you could have a smaller book, though if too small, tabs would overlap.) They include an easy to use guide to help you apply them, plus a “practice” tab. They include several tabs for things like an general index, topical index (which I used for the glossary), charts (which I used for that or timelines), tables, bible (general) which I used for essays, etc. The tabs are labeled on both sides. Previous to having these tabs, I used a sort of tab you could write on and was clear except for the very end you wrote on. I cut off the top of these and kept the rest of it on as it strengthened the page where I put the new tabs. When going to the tab to open the page, I’m careful to open the area by the tab but insert a finger or hand to open the pages from there so that there isn’t any tearing of the fairly thin pages. I’d purchase these again.
